Today’s Inspiration for our Tomorrows:
Joel Osteen Ministries shared:
God knows what He is doing. Don’t be discouraged by your closed doors. If God wants a door to open, you can be certain it will open. All the forces of darkness cannot stop it.
Commentary: not just closed doors. We mustn’t be discouraged by the wrong doors and deviations from the chosen path!
Do you keep a written record of your successes? If not, I encourage you to start a victory log. It can be as simple as a running list in a notebook, or a text doc on your phone. Write down your successes each day. This will log them into your long-term memory, which enhances your self-esteem and builds your self-confidence. It’s also nice to have as a reference for down the line when you need a little boost. 🙂
Commentary: A victory log – I like the sound of that.
Today’s victory – a stranger walked onto the field where I coach a U9 girls soccer team, I asked “may I help you?” followed by “we’re in the middle of practice …” He turned out to be uncle of one of the players who immediately took offense and became defensive. How is it possible that he didn’t understand my concern for keeping a team of young players safe from strangers?! I mean – how many adults walk onto the field during a training session to talk to a player without approaching the coach first? Did I mention we hold practice near a city bus stop and a drug/mental health rehab center? Honestly!
Our team is 10 – 2 gooooo O-O-O-O-Oberhausen :0)
